I got the car back from the shop today. They measured that the front of the car has now been "raised" by three and a half inches, and even then it doesn't sit as high as some Ds I've seen, and I still have nothing in the trunk (I removed the spare tire because it's 27 years old). In short, I'd say that lowering the front of the car by four inches might be great if you live in a place with smooth roads and don't mind replacing your front tires that often. Personally, however, I'm simply thrilled that I pulled into my parking space -- FORWARDS -- for the first time, and driving it is a lot less scary. :-) Thanks again to Ed R. for selling me his old springs.
