Marc, We debated making a custom PCB. However, with only 10 LEDs per light section($10) and the hugh cost of each PCB.($150), we went with adding the 10 LEDs. We also considered attempting to disassemble the stock D tail light. But it appears to be heat weld, so we would have had to cut off the back plastic light housing. Instead, we decided to drill 10 holes in the plastic housing and insert the LEDs. With the right drill diameter-they are a GREAT friction fit. Then, we solder them together in groups of 3, with a 100 ohm resister. We also made up some custom plugs to match the stock ones and then soldered the lead wires from the different light section on to them. (Use a standard double copper sided PCB board. Cut to size with a Dremel. Then score lines for isolating the circuits with the tiny cut off wheels.) So they plug right into the stock wiring harness. BTW, the stock D plug has contacts on both sides, yet the stock D plug to the tail lights only used one side of the contacts. An unreliable design. The LEDs are standard T 1 3/4 (5mm). We hope to get some pictures up on the 2015 DeLorean website soon.
