There are many areas of the Delorean that have little to no documentation. About the only thing mentioned about the calipers is that you are not supposed to take them apart. The book considers them unrepairable. The mechanics were supposed to just replace them. As a practical matter now of course you can rebuild them. You can also reuse that tiny square "O" ring that seals the to halves together (I use silicon sealer on it). I just tighten those bolts up "real tight". No spec. You may choose to use some Lock-Tite on them also. You have to be sure the parts are very clean with no burrs, nicks, or scratches. The bores where the pistons go can't have pitting and if the plating is worn off the pistons they have to be replaced. The bores can be sleeved. Most of the vendors have an exchange program for cores. They also offer sleeved calipers or you can send them out yourself directly to places like White Post.
