This thread reminded me of an event I participated in a few years ago. The British Motoring Club of Northern Colorado holds an event every fall called the Ever Oil Spot Rallye which ends at a place where lunch is served and prizes are rewarded. As you arrive at the finish they hand you a special drop cloth, since British cars (MG, Jaguar, Austin Healeys ect.) are notorious for leaks, you place it under your car for a period of time and then give it to the judges. They review each entry and determine the best Oil Spot Art winner. My car barely leaked and I think that was road crud, so I had no shot at winning. I need to go back because recently my car has developed a bit of a weep, I too suspect the Oil Sending unit. I recall that one guy wore a self depreciating shirt that even Delorean owners can relate to. It had a representation of Joseph Lucas on it saying: "Lucas Electronics because a gentleman doesn't drive at night!"
