Can I add a note of warning here - with squeezable gaskets, it's surprisingly easy to crack the rocker cover casting if you tighten up one bolt too tight at a time. I have given up using gaskets of any sort, and just use a quality silicone sealant on a well prepped surface. (just like Renault did on the later engines anyway) This is an approach I know some people have issues with but it has worked more reliably for me. I was reassured the other day when I took the engine out of an Alpine GTA LeMans last worked on by the UK Alpine specialist. He'd used just silicone on the rocker covers too :-D Martin Quoting John Hervey <john@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx>: > Group, > Just in case you haven't seen my new valve cover gasket and air flow > meter gasket well here they are: > http://www.specialtauto.com/delorean-parts/engine.html > I was tired of buying the standard thin hard paper in most cases > gaskets and wondering if they were going to seal or not so I have made > them.
