[DML] Re: AC clutch running continuously



YOu spent a lot of money with John so he should be helpful with your
problem. Something is very wrong if the compressor will run
continuosly on 12 oz. The low pressure switch should be shutting the
system down. Is the low pressure switch jumped out? You do need to do
that to charge the system but then remove the jumper after setting the
initial charge. On 12 oz the system should go below atmospheric even
with -134. I suggest you do NOT use -134. Either find some -12 or one
of the substitutes like -414b. You should also have drained and
refilled the A/C compressor with fresh oil and replaced the service
valve cores. You cannot properly pressure test an A/C system with
vacuum. You should pressurize to at least 100 psi with an inert charge
and then test for leaks.
