That's where the plugs are for the wiring harness that connects to the doors. Remove the cover that's taped down and inspect inside. Make sure it is not full of water and all rusty inside. Retape the cover and replace the foam under the front underside of the Tee roof panel. Be sure to recenter the Tee roof so the doors don't hit it when fully open.
