Possible causes include a hose that fell off, a broken or cracked hose, a bad actuator, a mistake in reassembling the Mode switch, putting the hoses back on the wrong spots. The fan speed has no effect on which vents the air comes out, it only affects the amount. Pull the Mode switch and make sure you did it correctly. Get the Workshop Manual and make sure each hose is where it belongs. Get a small hand operated vacuum tester. They are not expensive. With it you can test the hoses for leaks and the actuators to make sure they are connected properly and that they move. The hoses have a splash of color near the ends for identification. You should not hear any hissing except when you move the Mode switch for a moment till the actuators get into the new positions.
