The coolant hoses I got were from DMC houston, but the main point that seems to be in agreement here is that the hoses are not the shape/size they should be. It appears the hose does enters into a 90 degree bend too far from the water pump causing the hose to ride too close the the AC compressor and belt. The metal standoff bracket only serves to cause a crimp in this case. The hose the previous owner used had a section removed and the two halves reconnected via a coupler. That modification made the hose fit pefectly, plenty of clearance from the rear wall and more than enough clearance from the AC belt. I've found that using a little antifreeze as a lubricant works well, with the exception of water pump because the connection is so tight. When it comes to that I used a very small amount of a non-petrolium based synthetic grease around the water pump. my $0.02 -Kevin VIN 2234 ____________________________________________________________________________________ Do you Yahoo!?
