So, if I understand you right 100% of that 5% of oil will go on the hose and the other 95% which is propellant does not. That is still 100% oil you are putting on the hose! I agree it probably doesn't mean much but I still do not like putting oil on rubber hoses. I have also used liquid dish-washing detergent. IMHO straight anti-freeze seems to work the best and is completely safe to use. BTW don't forget to put the clamp on loose BEFORE wrestling with the hose. Don't ask me how I know!
