The shop would not be installing it, I would. And as far as getting in trouble. I have heard plenty of talk of empty cats and converter deletes on this site, tamirs site, and others. I am also certain that exotic engine swaps are "illegal" in some form at some point during the install. My question was not about the legality of such a modification, only the mechanical ramifications. There are no illegal modifications to my car as it sits, and I doubt merely talking about removing a 25 year old catalytic converter from a niche market, collector vehicle will ruffle any feathers. But thanks all the same for your concern. Matt (the outlaw) #16076 --- In dmcnews@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx, Ryan Wright <ryanpwright@xxxx> wrote: > That's correct. Matt, this is illegal.
