Just to let you all know. It is apparently just as illegal to modify the exhaust system into a dual configuration with two, free flow cats as it is to remove the cat completely. You also cannot replace a cat that is not damaged and still functioning. I found a very clear website for the state of texas http://www.tnrcc.state.tx.us/air/ms/tampering.html So you see, there is alot of things we do to our vehicles that are "illegal" But we have orphaned cars. Alot of modification and creativity is necessary. So instead of wagging fingers at my evil intent, lets all just talk shop and leave the legal mumbo jumbo to the lawyers.
