And of course, you should stand by the door to assist, and suggest they turn 
toward the rear as they exit. Probably good advice for any age. My wife got 
out a bit too briskly after her first ride and, predictably, conked her head on 
the door. Got to admit, the first time I got in a D, the seat was cranked 
upright for a short driver, and when I closed the door, my head ricocheted around 
like a pin ball.  Duh. I always drive with the seat reclined, as a tall person 
should.
