The flywheel won't be out of balance-the 'clock' position doesn't matter. If it did, there wouldn't be but one way to put it on. The rear main seal and/or carrier may not be installed correctly. Also, you have discovered one of the secrets of the professional mechanic: Repetition teaches speed. Do a job two or three times and it gets easier and faster.
