I have taken mine through touch-free washes w/o a problem, but i hate it. 
the soap removes the tire dressing and other shine enhancing products you 
probably have all over your louvers and lights and rub strips and such. you might 
find some water leaks too under the pressure. won't hurt anything though 
unless your louvers and engine covers are already broken.
