WARNING Re: Parts missing/removed from my car at Jag Shop

The owner/manager sends people on the list threatening email?

Wow. That's very interesting to know. Sounds like harrasment to me.

>From now on, I will recommend to everyone I know to AVOID the Jag
Shop at all costs based on negative comments by various aquaintences
on and off the list.

It's a simple risk vs. benefit analysis;

The stated opinions of many fellow owners would indicate that the
risk of entrusting my vehicle to this shop would outweigh "possible"
benefit of having my collector's car repaired correctly in a timely,
cost-effective manner.

Word-of-mouth advertising, be it positive OR negative is not libel or
slander, if you are only relating an experience you had to your
friends. I caution against embellishment when you tell your story
though. That's where the slander or libel enters.

As for me, no one is going to sue -me- for slander or libel if all
I'm doing is relating to others that people I know were not happy
with the work done at the shop and received email threatening legal
action for discussing the business habits of the shop.

I'm glad you all have shared this with me. Now I know NEVER to use
the Jag Shop for service and I'll be sure to tell all my fellow
owners.

Courteously,

Rich
