Just figured this one out myself. After you remove the 4 or so screws and the plastic barbs, there's one step left. You've got to remove the plastic trim that goes around the inside door handle/lock (by lifting up the handle and sliding it out) and remove the mirror switch (drivers side) or the plastic filler piece (passenger side). Now look in where the mirror switch was (or the filler piece) and you'll see a 10mm bolt. Take it out, along with the other one just like it a little further back. The one closer to the rear of the door is somewhat obstructed by one of the door lock rods, but it can just be pushed out of the way.
