Frank, Yes, WD40 or a contact cleaner safe for plastics will maby 
give you a temporary fix, but I have taken candy fragments out of the 
switches, paper, hair and just lots of crud. Yes, You can buy new 
switches, and if you do I will buy the old ones. Home of The Fixes.
