Before you worry about the engine running smooth fix ALL coolant leaks. In all likelyhood the plastic tank on the end of the radiator is leaking. Replace the radiator with the one that has brass tanks and pressure test to 15 psi for 15 min. After you have gotten the coolant system leakproof a full tune-up consisting of spark plugs, ignition wires, cap, and rotor will usually fix a rough idle. If it doesn't then you may have a bad-dirty fuel injector.
