After reading the accumulator FAQ, I understand what it's function is, and how it works. But my question is, what can cause an accumulator to go bad? Is the diaphram inside prone to heat damage? And if so, at what temperature? Right now were having hot start problems, but the accumulator is supposed to be new. The fuel in the gas tank is getting hot enough in traffic to cause the pick up hose to collapse, so when fuel gets this hot, is it possible for it to damage the accumulator as it goes through it? I have several repair options here, but a couple of answers could greatly help me decide in which direction to go. Thanks in advance again! -Robert vin 6585
