[DML] timing DeLorean engine and replacing sensors

Hy,
I checked the timing of the ignition of our D (with a strobe-light) and
found it is set to late, about 8 deg. instead of 13 deg. as is should be
according to the manual. Now I am puzzeld; to adjust the timing one has to
reposition the distributor, to get acces to the distributor I have to remove
the air-manifold and the k-jetronic valve. So how do I know what position
the distributor should be in ?
Also i found a posting in the archives that said never to adjust the timing
of a D. Should I leave the timing as it is until I have checked all the
other systems ? The engine is running almost OK, just sometimes a little
rough.
I am replacing all the sensors, relays and switches at this time. I found
that some of them have been replaced by a previous owner with not original
types. I have found the original type nrs. of most of the sensors on the
internet, yet I do not have the correct type and manufacturer for two
devices:
a) lambda thermo-switch (probably Bosch)
b) themparature sending unit for temp-gauge on dashboard
Does anybody know the original types and any replacement parts ?
John
