Dave, Put a cap from ground to the - neg side ( Term 1 ) of the ignition coil. You can read on page 22 & 23 of the technical manual about the pulse coil. Basically you killed the AC pulse so the ECU has nothing to read. If the car is seeking, then when the car is hot you need to readjust the 02 / fuel mixture screw. Normally I replace the 02 sensor and adjust to it, again when the car is hot. Some people adjust with the 02 disconnected, but I don't.
