Alex, The brake light switch doesn't go out or bad very often The biggest problem is the PC boards that the tail lights are mounted on and the 3 metal connections that are riveted to the board with. I have a process of cleaning the original boards, soldering the connections to last and then sealing the boards with a water proof clear paint that makes them look like new again but seals them from water and moisture. I normally charge $15.00 per board and they should last another 20 years. If you want to up grade then P.J. Grady sells an Epoxy glass board up grade that would also last another 20 years.
