The primary problem with the quote is the use of the term "prison". He was never in prison. Yes, he did spend some time in the Los Angeles County Jail after his arrest and during the trial, but he was not convicted of any wrongdoing,. It is also true that his "religious convictions" became a media concern while in the L.A. jail, but whether he "found God" in jail, or "turned to God for guidance" while there is something only JZD knows.
