Every panel is electrically connected together. Without getting to
technical it is to optimize the performance of the radio. For
practical purposes it doesn't seem to matter all that much. I do
recomend that you do try to reconnect it though. There are also little
wires under the outer door seals on the front left and right door
posts up near the top. More important is to make sure that the
restraining brackets line up with the bumper bolts on the bonnet. They
are supposed to catch on the bolt in the event of a head-on crash
keeping the bonnet cover (hood) from intruding into the passenger
compartment through the front windscreen.

That was good information, especially the Vixen info on the shocks.
I'm not absolutely sure that I have a shock problem; when I had the
front tires replaced the tech said the old ones had "strut wear".
I have a vibration/shimmy that starts at about 45 MPH, and the new
front tires didn't fix it. I'm going to try the newest computer
balancing machine and see what happens.

Yes I am raffling off a DeLorean if I can get a few things worked out
I have purchased a DeLorean but have not picked it up yet so I haven't seen
it.
The pictures looked great,
It has under 4000 miles and I believe it is a 5 speed (picture not clear)
Good frame good panels and looks nice.
I have however bought three other cars that looked good (not the parts car)
and while the cleaned up great they were too costly to raffle. I think this
one will work.
Price for each ticket is not determined yet but it will be given away at
Pigeon Forge as long as I reach a realistic minimum ticket sales.
The winner does not need to be present to win.
Winner pays taxes and shipping but does not have to take possession at the
show due to travel etc.
The car will be gone over and anything that needs fixing will be dealt with.
I will know more in a month when I go pick it up
I don't have room now.
So yes it is true this is a full sized real working DeLorean for raffle and
someone will win it at Pigeon Forge next year.
If John is there maybe he can sign it. As of last week in talking to Kathryn
he is still planning to so keep fingers crossed.
Tickets will be available on the registration form starting in DEC.

I was one of those guys that TOOK on the Challenge,and saved what
would have become a parts Delorean(as the most expensive parts on the
car were damaged)but I restored it(this was back in 1987)and because
of MY CHALLENGE,and determanation,not to see another Delorean Bite
the dust,This Delorean has SEEN another SIXTEEN YEARS of service and
given at LEAST FIVE (that I Know of) other owners the Joy of owning a
Delorean,which now resides in(the UK) Great Britian,(and the latest
owner is on this list),Because of my sole act,of not parting out this
car(1983 Delorean)at least 5 people,besides myself,have had the
chance and the oppertunity to "Live the Dream" And this car will
generate future "new" owners,(when the latest owner sells)that will
also Live the Dream,in the UK,which again would not have
happened/been possible,if back in 1987,I had decided to part it
out.My whole POINT HERE is what you do NOW,may change someone's
history on owning a Delorean.As I have stated,those Five owners after
me,and EXPECALLY the two U.K. owners would not have had the
oppertunity,to own Vin#1668_)
And missed out on the joyes of Delorean ownership.

I will be replacing my upper ball joints shortly and I know I will have to cut off the four pins/studs holding the old ones in place. Can someone recommend the type (grade) and size of bolts to use on the new ball joints? Also, the torque to tighten them to?
