Ah, I finally read DMCH's "holiday update".  They are saying
that their new heat shield is stainless, yet has "aluminized
woven silica".  I'm picturing something like a big sheet of
exhaust manifold gasket.  I looked but didn't find any
photos.  If it is stainless clad on both sides then I'm
impressed.  That might work better than a single sheet of
V2A alloy.

Samuel, you might want to consider it.  At the next
gathering we need to have a heat shield show-down ala
Consumer Reports.
