[DMCForum] Another spark advance question

OK Martin:

Stock DeLo shoots full vacuum to spark advance as soon as throttle
plates open. If cut off solenoid is holding this, means car is timed
at full vacuum. What happens THEN as RPM's increase and vacuum drops?

Yes, I know there's centrifugal advance too, but seems to defeat
purpose of any advance at all. Centrifugal advance is moving rotor one
direction at same time vacuum advance is relaxing it the other.

If this is truly what JZD intended, seems an owner would actually be
better off disconnecting vacuum diaphragm altogether and simply
letting mechanical advance do it all.
