[DMCForum] Re: New business

Thought you said last week it only spritzed a little rain in the
afternoons...

Possibilities:
-Are you still running that questionable ignition?
-Is converter stopped up? (try running around the block with it off
car. Not only will that diagnose, but will really make an impression
on the neighbors)
-Check your timing. Too far advanced cuts into performance (13 degrees
was probably for emissions BTW. Martin G and I both run PRV's at 10 or
less). Make sure spark advance is disabled when timing, otherwise you
could really be ATC.
-If you're going to run stock vacuum advance (Mr. Historian), vacuum
enrichment on CPR must work. Stock DeLo shoots one heck of advance
spike immediately after throttle plates open.
-Don't get overly excited until all vacuum leaks are plugged. Until
then, mixture will probably be too rich (acceptable idle on leaking
engine = too rich after vacuum drops).
