No.  Just be patient and the one you have should start leaking soon. ;-)

Aluminum is a very efficient conductor of heat.  I think that the only
metal
that will rival it in its ability to absorb & re-radiate heat would be
gold.
I have seen an aluminum heat shield on a DeLorean before.  It was stamped
with a waffle pattern to help deflect the heat, but I don't think it was
very effective because the pulley seal was about cooked.  It wasn't very
effective at resisting impacts either ;-)  That is why it was replaced
because the car got rear-ended.  If you are going to use aluminum anyway,
I
recommend using at least two sheets separated by thin spacers.  This is
also
an option with the heat shield sold by
http://www.delorean-steel-products.com/  But they have found that this
material is so effective that one sheet is plenty.  This is a special
alloy
formulated to be very efficient at reflecting heat.  You should buy it.

(yeah, I'm friends with the guy who makes them)  Now he sells stainless
shifter knobs too.
