Well mine has had its head gasket done; my son in law refurbishes heads
so no major problem if it goes again.
 
On a general note, I am very, very impressed with the ride, handling and
comfort of the Rover, as good as the V8 Daimler it has replaced. But of
course nothing like the grunt of the Daimler. But then again the Rover
is on Gas, (as is my Old Jeep) so with having my own LPG tank, and only
paying 25 per litre, its very very cheap motoring, in some style.
 
 With 2 CP on it, no one will know its not a new one and it effectively
does 100 MPG. Not bad at all!
 
If any one is looking for a beautiful LWB Daimler 4 litre  V8 with about
80K miles on, full Jaguar service history, built in phone, CD, climate,
sun roof all the  electric toys, including an anti-hijacking alarm
system, its yours for £7k., one former Owner, the chairman of ICI.,
chauffeur driven and maintained.  A snip at the price.

hmm the k series motor - good when it goes, bad (and expensive!) when it
stops............
has a slight habbit of blowing heads!
