Hi Phil.
i assume you have checked over the whole sytem.
start at the tank check all pump and boot etc are all in correct and
tight.
check the seals for the sender etc.
check the fuel filler cap and feed pipe (mine had a jubilee clip
only part on and looks as if this was done in the factory.) was the
main pipe from the filler.
check the pipe coming from the pump and the accumulator.
the old pipes to the accumulator are not good after 24 years
mine could do with a change but don't leak so down on my list of
things to do!.
check the filter and its fittings. a new filter is a bugger to seal
tight. mine is ok now but just had a slight show of vapour.
then check all the fuel fittings in the engine bay. if any copper
washers have been reused without annealing they could leak slight
vapour.
hope i'm not stating the obvious.
regards
Steve

no water trap cylinders. This is why I'm pretty sure that there's
something amiss with my car at the mo. I've put other cars in there
and the smell has not appeared.
