Well we were talking about fascia painting recently, and IMO it is a
false economy to do it yourself. I have done it and achieved a good,
lasting finish, but the incredible amount of time it took coupled with
the cost of the paint cans means I really do think it's easier to take
them to a paintshop. It's the same with the spoilers/grills etc. Having
a good machinist who takes on silly jobs like that can be worth a lot!
Don't think I don't still do things on the cheap with my own car :-)
There's doing things cheap, and doing things properly. Occasionally the
twain shall meet.
