The 'roadworks' are actually some clearance work being done up the side
of the road, they should be gone by Sunday. I go by on Thursday so I'll
check.
I've never really had any trouble getting through Matlock Bath, I work
in Matlock on Saturday and the roads are normally clear. It may be a
plod through the Matlock Bath itself (doors open moment perhaps?:) But I
reckon we'll be OK.
