[doc] Re: Surging Idle + Acceleration Problem = ????

Hi Alistair,
I have been tank diving this afternoon on LJH to try
and sort out my starting problems.
I found that there was a large piece of muck in the bottom of the fuel
pump which was "floating about" somtimes fuel was getting sent through
somtimes not. Having removed the muck and checked the tank area which
was nice and clean, no disolved rubber boots or tar/sludge in the
bottom.
It now starts fine.
So maybe you have muck in there.
Best Regards
Nick H

that after startup the car had a strange surging idle that lasted
untill I had driven the car for around 5 minutes, It also didnt
really accelerate that well and stalled on me once untill the car had
warmed up.  I drove for about half an hour, stopped for about an hour
and then drove for another half hour without any further problems.

with fuel in the tank and lines and had really corroded every part of
the fuel system because of this I have replaced the fuel tank along
with a new pump and baffle so is it just old dirty particles that
have hidden in the fuel lines coming loose and slightly blocking the
injectors untill I blast them free when I warm the car up or is it
something more sinister.
