do you think the whole engine would transplant, complete with its
electronic Fuel injection system? (I have got a spare DeLorean engine
I could swap sump etc off.
Would it be a better engine (once repaired) ? Certainly the distributor
is easier to get at!
I could then easily fit the LPG system.

I'd be more inclined just to replace the head gaskets on the existing
engine. You can't swap the bottom end off this engien and put on an
earlier B28E block because the B28E is an odd-fire (like the DeLorean)
and the later ones are even fire (EFI).
Just do the head-gaskets, Chris. They're the same as the DeLoreans ones
and a damn sight easier to get to than on the D.
