My speedo has never worked and I have yet to investigate it. All I know is that I have a speedo cable which the previous owner obtained and he said it is the wrong one, so I guess it is spare. It is 675mm long (flange to flange on the sheath), but I don't know if it is upper or lower. Well, after getting 1274 on bricks I used my only trolley jack under the end of the spanner to jack it up. It was compressing the spring by a good half inch! Finally after four attempts the angle drive gave up its grip and is off, along with the completely seized lower speedo cable I think I bent it a bit in the process, so it may not be refurbishable - so I might need a new one.... Now what's the score on lower speedo cables? Is there a cross that fits, or is it DeLorean specific? In which case does anyone have one they'd like to sell me? :) Rich H -----Original Message----- From: Richard [mailto:dickyh....] Sent: 25 January 2004 1:19 AM To: doc-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: RE: [doc] Angle drive hell Ah, now thatâ??s the kind of info I need more of. I had all kinds of plans to buy/make/repair it. For 35 quid that solves a problem :) Today weather permitting the fight commences again, expect the Derbyshire air to be blue for a while!
