To right, Martin.....!! Chris Parnham is one of the most helpful people I know, and does everything in his power to bring club members together and have a good time (all part and parcel of being a member of the DOC!!). at the end of the day, it was just an idea that Chris wanted to share with other members, to see what they thought!.. My feeling is that if we wait until May 2006... the test track will be gone and there will be no point at all in going to Dunmurry (the factory is nothing like it was in 1981, but the test track just has not changed (it is still, the De Lorean test track).. can Robert say for sure that the test track will still be there in 2006???, if it is destroyed before 2004... I would really be gutted (like a lot of other members, I never went in 2001 as I didn`t own a car back then....). But to take my car....Vin 000569 (MXI 4811) round the track, 23 years since she was last there.... would be a Dream come true.... I just hope that the developers can wait until 2006 :o( If we are going to wait until 2006, we need to be sure the track is going to still be there... Maybe we need to write to the Lisburn Borough Council.... Mayor Jim Dillon. (Dunmurry is in his area!)... I did last time! Chris is doing his job as club secretary in acting on these suggestions. The openness by which he does it is only in keeping with the general openness of the club - which we all appreciate and enjoy.
