Thanks for the info James. It makes sense in some instances to reduce the prices of say largish items like wings, ( if you have large stocks) in the event of an accident, if the replacement cost is not too bad, then it stacks up better against the cost of bashing out the old one. Very similar with say accident damaged Aston Martin bumpers we deal with, our £400'ish re-plate is significantly cheaper than the £1,300 cost of replacement. But if the replacements were £600 (as they were not long ago) fitting new makes more sense. I was looking at some our re-plating prices the other day, some have not changed id 5/6 years, despite all the overhead increases we've had. No wonder our bottom line is steadily reducing!
