I saw the article too. I was amazed that the Delorean didn't get more attention than it did. After all, it is the only gullwing car whose doors actually work properly when serviced of course. I once had the door of a 300SL Gullwing fall down on my head whilst at a friends house in Kent, bloody painful it was too! Plus they included loads of cars that weren't really gullwings anyway. There is only one truly fantastic gull wing car, and that has tobe the Delorean. The very fact that you just lift the latch, and the doorsrise up, makes it the best example there is. The Mercedes doors are heavy, stiff and you have a stupidly wide ledge to stretch over before you get toyour seat. Useless. They didn't even show a picture of a Delorean with it,how can you run a Gullwing door article and not have a Delorean photo. It's like doing a "who's your favourite Beatle" article without including a picture of Ringo, not the best one, but the one everyone knows. Stephen. VIN 6986 P.S. Cheers martin, got your message, still trying to work out the prices in my head. Need to know what can be achieved for dead on £500? Including parts? How much can you get done?
