It has recently stopped doing this on mine and has made me notice the accumulator is shot. Stian, it should not run continuously with ignition on before you start - it may run for a second or so. If it does not turn off, your RPM relay may well be bad Martin #1458 #4426 Original Message: ----------------- From: Chris chris@xxxx Date: Sat, 22 Feb 2003 19:05:02 -0000 To: doc-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: Re: [doc] Buzzing from engine Stian > Today I went out in the garage for the obligatory once-a-week start and warm-up of my DeLorean. It is stored during the winter time. At the same time I wanted to check the door lights etc. so I didn't start the car, but turned the key to "position 2", when I suddenly heard a loud buzz coming from the engine compartment. Its the frequency valve (FV) which is on the RH rocker cover ( opposite side to the cold start ). When you turn the key to position 2 the RPM relay powers up the fuel pump ( and FV) and primes the fuel system for starting.
