Its NOT the one near the water pump...other END of the ENGINE you cannot see it until you've removed the air intake manifold. You're looking at the wrong thing. When standing at the the back of the D looking into the engine bay directly in front of you near the water pump, is a sensor that screws, it looks like into the water pump housing. It has two very small spade terminals which connects to the lead. I assumed this was the temp gauge. Threre is also another temp sensor which is located on the water pipe, down low on the left hand side this controls the radiator fans. If the one that I think is the water temp gauge, not the water temp gauge do you know where it is. Could you also describe where the temp sender uner the air filter is.
