Ok so I was not going to join in this discussion but I now feel I have to add my 2p My car used to hunt really well, not as much as one car I know , but it was noticeable. Last weekend I stripped the engine down to fix a water leak, and in the process of putting it back together I used gasket in a tube on all mating surfaces, and cut all vacuum lines back a little to get a good clean seal. Guess what,, I no longer hunts when cold!!! must have been a vacuum leak somewhere Whole job took about 3hrs including cleaning some bits.
