The ignition needs a supply to be able to switch it.... I reckon the supply side is duff. I suggest un-plugging the igntiion
barrel's connection and just test all the pins to see if you have a 12v feed on at least one of them.
The Rover SDi ignition barrel will fit but is slightly different and requires a little bit of rewiring. Paul and I both got
one from www.rimmerbros.co.uk (the one I got went to Rob Grady)
