Its not too bad a job. I've done a few, including ones on Ian Fosters car,
which took less than 30 mins each side. If you have the right coil spring
compressors, none of the ball joints need to be broken.

Which ever side you are doing, make sure that the track rod of the steering
is at its furthest point out. E.g. if doing left side the hub needs to be
turned to the maximum left. Just remove the large nut front the upper
wishbone and slide out the bolt, catching the spacer washers. Pull the hub
towards you & swing the top wish bone out of the way. Put spring clamps on
and compress to its fullest. Undo the top nuts on the shock absorber & take
out the bolt from the lower fixing point of the shock and remove completely.
Push down the lower wishbone and remove the spring. Assembly is in reverse
order.
