I have recently been talking to Mike Moore, who was the managing director of Wooler Hodec" , who did the RHD conversion work, he told me that they (Woller-Hodec) had a separate Secret contract with the DeLorean factory to chop up , and part out some new, early cars that had badly formed under bodies. They just couldn't get the panels to fit properly. The British press got hold of this story somehow and a version of events was printed up in the "Daily Mirror" The only reason that this "diss-assembly was sent to Woolers was because, cars were regularly going back and forth between the two sites and it was thought it would be bad for factory moral if it were done in N.I. plant.
