Dan, Yes your car mine are "sisters" I'm treating mine to a full blown BTTF kit, I've already got one of Paul's Mr. Fusions, and other bits are being designed and made as we talk. I've also ( as previously mentioned) a small Auto battery topper upper.....The ?3 , from the flea market did not work, but happily Halfords were able to change it for a new one!!! BTW Dan, I don't like the Idea of you leaving Maddie with no brake fluid in..you could get rust up the inside of things..just a thought. Chris P. don't mention the second LHD as it has not been "sanctioned" yet! -----Original Message----- From: Daniel Willis [mailto:danielpwillis@xxxx] Sent: 19 December 2001 13:10 To: doc-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: RE: [doc] newsletter/ subs Chris, I am dispirited but thats all. I'll never sell my D and I will probably buy another that is a runner in the near/middle/far future and carry on with Maddie simply as a labour of love. BUT this year has been the worst of my life. Other than breaking a leg (okay 18 months ago but I'm still suffering) I lost my job, nearly my house and daily drive only to get news that Chris N cannot repair my panels and he's emigrating early next year to the US probably PERMENANTLY! So I need to *buy* parts rather than pay less to have repairs. I mean, Dave Howarth apparantly has door skins etc but I still need a front wing, rear quarter, bonnet and a very rare, very expensive piece of fibreglass (not to mention the *maybe* on the front frame piece. It's just too much. I hardly went in to this blind but it isn't the car that's pi**ed me off! So if I take a break and come back at it fresh you may yet see Maddie on the road... but probably not before you see me driving another car! Heh. I wish you all a Merry Christmas - and do *me* a favour and treat your cars to something nice eh? Dan Vin#5641 (I can understand Chris' want for me to continue... your DeLores is Vin#5638 isn't she?!? My Maddie's sister!) >From: "Chris Parnham" <chrisparnham@xxxx> >Reply-To: doc-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx >To: <doc-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> >Subject: RE: [doc] newsletter/ subs >Date: Wed, 19 Dec 2001 12:55:00 -0000 > >Paul, > >You have only had your car "5 minutes" you like Martin, have got stuck in >and got the job finished ( well nearly) in record time, however, some folk >,due to lack of time or finances, or both, find their jobs dragging on for >years.....then there is a real danger of getting completely "Brassed off" >with the project. > >This is not just a DeLorean thing.
