Subject: Re: [doc] NEC ShowIt's a well muffled sound - there's no burbling, but not much lagging in the engine bay like you get now, so the result is a fairly loud deep throb. I particularly like the steam that comes from the exhausts when its cold. It doesn;t rev like a Ferrari though, but it's nothing to be ashamed of either.
The only car that sounds better IMO is my mate's Skyline GTS-R which is a race-tuned strait-6 - even smoother and deeper. None of your tin-pot vauxhall nova noises!

It looks like it will have to be Sunday for me. If anyone is thinking of going that day, and feels like bringing their Delorean, I'd really like to hear the car ticking over, as have not experienced this yet. I think I really ought to hear before I get too much further towards investing in one. I've listened to a few recordings on the internet, but all were too muffled.
If any ofyou guys were to describe the engine sound, how would you do it. Does it sound like any other car, does it have a big engine or small engine sound, does it turn heads? Does that 2.8 litre block sound sporty, even grunty? I just don't really know yet, and would like to. Answers on a postcard(of a Delorean of course:) Regards,
Stephen.
