Hi All,
LJH has been suffering from slight overheating.
The cause I thought was a blocked return feed to the header tank.
However when cleared it was still running warmer than it should.
(thanks to Richard, Dave & Martin for there colective information
on overheating)
I decided that after checking everything else it was Thermostat or
Head gasket. Lucky the thermostat was faulty I have removed it
at work today.
I drove home and it now runs spot on the correct Temp.
I have a new thermostat on order.
(don't remove a thermostat for a long time as it will increase
engine wear)
On a strange note the thermostat seams to have failed slightly
open rather than completly closed.
Regards
Nick H
