We recently had to swap out a box that would lose drive at over 3000rpm. Luckily Rich J's box was on the side for barely a week at this point. He now has a bullt proof manual gearbox instead (as of yexterday, linkage still to be hooked up although the tricky bits are done, just sourcing piddly clevis pins...) Our gearbox guy has used Ren boxes for years, both auto and manual and his attitude was not to touch the autos because they're just too much trouble to rebuild reliably. Funny how V6 Safranes and Lagunas (the late PRV engined cars) often get scrapped or sold off on ebay due to failed AT's How much do you want for the box, Chris? Although swapping an AT isn't a fun job :-D I would guess that Cragi's specific problem lies in the torque converter but AT's are still a Black Art !
