Don?t rush into anything Craig. IF you need a torque converter, or and Auto g/box come to that, I have a new one of each. I suspect sticking solenoids or an electrical problems. I strongly suggest that you drive and treat the car as a 25 year classic, and slow down a bit! One member spent thousands, and I do mean thousands, having numerous abortive goes at his Auto box. He recently sold the car with a pile of bills. The Auto box is basically OK is its all set up properly and used regularly, they don?t like standing for years. Regards ? Hi all! My auto gear box is playing up at the mo, in fact it has done it since i got it! When accellarating hard from standstill the car makes a couple of jolts before it then accelerates properly! - as if iam running on kangaroo juice! This happens in D or 2 or 1, if i tentatively accelarate it does not happen! The car has had a new gearbox shift computer in its life so i doubt it is that! It does have a slow leak of the red stuff but i keep it topped up, if anything i most probs have too much oil in it!! I have been looking in the manual and i reckon it might be the torque convertor but hey what the hell would i know!!! Any ideas and possible cost would be great!! - i guess this wont be a cheap quick fix! Take Care Craig!! Vin 16723 DOC 20 --------------------------------- Talk is cheap. Use Yahoo!
